We now have a 'Movietown' cinema with 2 screens, aircon not too cold and nice comfy seats. There is a new beach we have found near Castara, with a nice restaurent serving lovely lunches and dinners right on the beach. Another new tiny little restaurent (which serves among other things great fishburgers and chips) is on the road to Speyside. Eat on a veranda overlooking King's Bay, its called the King's Bay Cafe and run by an English couple its well worth a stop. Bloody Bay now has beach facilities, smart and new but they are quite often closed! Ambassador's gardens are looking better and better with lots of lovely flowers and fruit, we have a very energetic new gardener who is transforming the place. Thanks to some kind guests and help from a member of staff at the Asa Wright Centre in Trinidad we now have lots of special humming bird feeders and plenty of visiting hummies to keep our bird-watching visitors happy. This year's dry season has had plenty of rain so the island is looking beautiful - green and lovely, last year the dry season was very dry, everything was parched by April and fires were burning all over the place. There are 2 fast ferries to Trinidad now which only take about 2 or 3 hours so it is much easier to hop across for a trip to the big sister island, the fastest way of course is a 20 minute flight but a that's bit more expensive.
